My sense of fairness and justice tells me that every person is made in the image of God, and that I should care for the lives of every human being, regardless of religion or nationality. But in this situation, it is very hard for me to follow my reason or my sense of justice, because my feelings - of fear and anger - overwhelm reason or justice. </I><BR/><BR/>Thank you for saying this. Many of the blogs I read have been expressing a lot of fear and anger lately -- on both sides of this conflict -- and it has become increasingly painful for me to read posts written out of that headspace. There's something of a relief in hearing someone acknowledge both the desire to see the situation in a just way, and the human frailty that so often makes us take sides on a gut level even if we want to be truly fair on an intellectual level.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
